I had the worst experience today. I purchased a new entertainment center, after much researched i decided to spend a littler more so i wouldnt have to put it together, but went to pick it up and it was in boxes...wtf! the website saynothing about this item needing to be assembled, i waited over an hour outside, and the managers would do nothing to fix the problem. They have no problem selling items and taking your money, but will do nothing to keep good customers.

Two Dressers - Both Damaged NO call back from Management

I purchased a dresser and waited a month for it to be delivered. Then drivers showed me a small scratch on the bottom of the dresser..

The Driver said someone can come out and fix it and if you are not satisfied you can still get a new one.. I agreed and the delivery guy holding the dresser on the truck then decides to push it into the lip at the end of the truck and RIPS about four inches of wood off the back leg.. I told them to take it back they informed me that a manager would be calling me before 5 PM. That never happened.

I called and complained and they said I could wait a month and a half when the new dresser came in or they just happen to have one that was supposed to go to another customer later in November. The next day they delivered the other dresser and IT WAS DAMAGED !! Both times they didn’t wrap the dresser. Both times the drivers just dragged the dresser on the truck..

I called customer service again and was told a manager would call me and of course that never happened. I will never buy anything from Steinhafels again.

As the manufacturer of the piece in question, we are very sorry to hear about the issues you had with delivery. Steinhafels has been selling our product for many years and they are an excellent store and that provides quick service.

Our apologies for any problems that you have had and we hate to hear of a customer that was not able to get our product as they expected. We sincerely hope that you contact Steinhafels again as I am sure they would be as eager as we are to resolve this issue.

As a customer that paid in full at time of order, I would expect 100% better customer service. There was no follow up after initial email. If I didn't make a payment they would surely contact us. My husband & I have contacted our salesperson a couple of times. He responded that he would have management contact us. I was expecting someone to follow up with us and not because we made contact but because this company wants to provide excellent service. We finally received our order about 5 weeks late.....still no follow up from management. This company clearly could care less of getting our repeat business with their lack of customer service. Please do not waste your time with this company...unless you like to put money in the pockets of those who don't care about their customers.

Very disappointed with the Kenosha store!

Today after a week that was suppose to be my delivery date didn't happen! After clearing my schedule and waiting for my delivery that never happen! I Was asked to look at my couch before the delivery guys brought it in at the damage. The delivery guy had part of my broken off couch leg in his hand, the leather was scruffed up and the other leg was damaged. This was only one side! I can only imagined what the other side looked like and the other piece! In nutshell..... I was told it would be another week for delivery! After talking to a manager (be aware that hold times are ridiculous when you call customer service!)I was given a date that didn't work. Went to the store and told them they really should have went back and reloaded another couch correctly and deliveried same day and that if they couldn't bring it out tomorrow to cancel the order. My sales person went over to talk to another gentlemen(I think he was a manager) and he had a "I don't care attitude" and told her to see if the Internet was working on the computer and cancel the order. She then tells me it will be two weeks to get my money back I put down! There is no customer service at this place and they could care less about your repeat business. Take my advice and go somewhere else where they appreciate their customers and welcome repeat business!!!!!

Appleton Steinhafels - Terrible Customer Service

I wanted new living room furniture, so I stopped by the new Steinhafels in Appleton. I found two recliners and a table I considered purchasing. Our salesperson was pleasant and friendly. I wanted to check that the furniture I had chosen would fit in the space I had in the living room, so I told the salesperson I would call the next day if I decided to purchase. Well, I decided to go ahead with the purchase and called the salesperson and ordered over the phone. I mentioned I had the $50 Steinhafels bonus cash certificate when I ordered, and the salesperson said she would credit that amount to the $1400.00 purchase and email me the sales order. When I got the sales order, no $50 taken off. A simple mistake, I thought, so I emailed my salesperson about it. She emailed back, saying she forgot to take it off and that she would put in for a $50 credit on my credit card, which would post to my account in 3 days. Nine days later, no credit so I emailed my salesperson. No response from her! Five days after that, I called customer service, who said they would credit it to my account ....I don't have high hopes I will ever be credited the $50. Not a big amount, but if it is part of your sales pitch, Steinhafels, you should honor it. On top of that, one of the recliners we purchased (Steinhafels brand) had a manufacturing defect and the back of the chair wobbled back and forth. I called customer service and was on hold for 25 minutes before I spoke to a snippy customer service rep about replacing the chair. The only bright spot was the staff in the pick up area - they were competent and friendly. What a totally frustrating and disappointing experience! No one once said a simple "sorry". No one contacted me when I explained all of this on the customer service survey they sent me. I will take my furniture dollars to other furniture stores in the area and will NEVER recommend this store to anyone I know. Not a good first impression in the Appleton area, Steinhafels!

I'm dealing with Cyndi VanLanen right now and am more irritated than ever. We purchased a designer package in January 2015, worked with the designer at our home for 45 minutes, ordered furniture and were told we'd work on accent pieces after the furniture arrived.

The furniture was continually delayed. We received it 3 months after ordering! I contacted our designer to continue the process only to find out she was no longer there. I had to physically go to the Appleton store to speak with someone.

My calls weren't returned. My first visit to the store to resolve this was in June, 2015. It's now 12/11/15 and it's still not resolved. Cyndi told me our designer wrote closed on our file and I'm questioning it.

We purchased 10 hours of design work and worked with the designer for approximately 1 hour. We are calling BS and escalating this!

Horrible customer service

This has been my worst experience with a company ever. I should have been tipped off because the first time I stepped foot into the Vernon Hills Steinhafels, nobody greeted me or asked if I needed help the entire time I was there.

Nonetheless, I found the perfect couch and came back the next day (May 22, 2015) to order a couch and loveseat. I was informed that there was one loveseat in stock and the couch was arriving on May 31. I specifically asked if that date was correct, cause I didn't want to have an incomplete set and didn't want to deal with back orders. The salesperson assured me that this date was correct and could have my couch delivered within a few days.

May 31 comes and goes and no contact. On June 2, I call customer service to inquire about my couch. The representative very curtly replies that I'll get an email tomorrow and that weekly updates are sent on Wednesdays. I was taken aback cause I was told nothing of this when buying the furniture.

The representative then reluctantly looks up my order and states the furniture was listed to arrive at the end of June. When I tried to ask questions, and stated I needed this furniture for an event, she stated that's what the computer says and I shouldn't have bought that couch then. Upset, I contacted the salesperson who sold me the couch, and she assured me that she was sure it would be in by the first week of July (when my event was). On June 10, I get an email saying my couch is estimated to arrive June 21.

On June 17, it's estimated for June 28. On June 24, it's estimated for July 2. July 2 passes, with no email that day or the following day. I call customer service and am told it's estimated to arrive July 12, which is past the first week of July that I was assured my couch would arrive, and past when I needed it by.

If I had been told at the beginning this could happen, I would have ordered elsewhere. Instead, they happily took my money and strung me along until it was too late to get other furniture. Not only have I not had anywhere comfortable to sit for six weeks now, my guests will now be sitting on folding chairs for my party. I canceled my order and will not be shopping here ever again.

I strongly urge you not to trust this company or the salespeople and to shop elsewhere.

Getting the run around

Stienhafels was very happy to sell me in stock merchandise and take my money. Now I can't get answers to where my item is. New Berlin? Waukesha? The lady that took my money last week said 1 to 2 days. The customer service rep on the phone yesterday said it had just come in. I keep asking and I get a different answer EVERYTIME. Today the very rude lady at customer pick up in Waukesha told me that everyone I spoke to about my purchase was wrong about it being in stock and I just needed to go home and wait for them to call me. Stienhafels, if you want my money please provide what I am paying for! Plus, your folks should not treat customers like ***!

Typical of them to do this. They do it to anyone everyone, but most do not take the time to complain.

Talk to the owner or leave him a voicemail. just call the main number ask for Steve's voicemail and leave him one.

Only 3 years later mattress is shot, "Dream" warranty is a nightmare

Bought a mattress (and a mattress cover) about 3 years ago with Steinhafels dream warranty. I only had the mattress for about 2 years when I started noticing body indentations.

Someone came out to inspect the mattress yesterday and told me it was completely shot as well as the box spring on both sides. I got an email this morning saying that it wasn't covered under warranty because of a stain (the stain is small, less then an inch wide). The stain soaked through the mattress cover they sold me as well. I am a bit confused because I am not sure how something I DID changes the fact that I was sold a mattress that was not durable as well as a cover that was not as protecting as promised.

To me I feel like the stain aspect of the warranty is a bluff to easily (and a nice cheap legal loophole) turn people away from getting the type of warranty they actually deserve.

I've had MANY friends in similar situations with their warranties and not only for mattresses. If this is not resolved I'll be canceling my Steinhafels credit card and letting everyone I know not to buy their furniture from there again/ever.

Steinhafels - Bedroom Set Review from Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Bought a bedroom set on May 25, 2015. Needed it to be delivered by June 16th because I was moving out of state to Fl. Called several times to remind salesperson about my deadline. Heard nothing back. Finally called June 10th & was told that the manager said there's no room on any truck to deliver my furniture on time. Instead of rearranging the delivery schedule, I was told to have my movers pick it up on my moving day. My movers were coming from Chicago. And, on my moving day, I would have to drive to the store to sign off on the furniture exchange. That would be a 40 minute drive for me one way. I've bought a lot of furniture from Steinhafels. But their "no can do" attitude really shows their unwillingness to be flexible & accommodating. Certainly in all those filled trucks there is one customer who would be willing to swap out a delivery date for someone who has no option for a later delivery. I'm really pissed off. Pissed off because Steinhafels doesn't give a *** & made no effort to to accommodate me.

Steinhafel's -- Lots of Broken Promises

On 3/21/15, we ordered a special order bedroom set and were told it would be in on 5/28/15. On 5/27, the arrival date was pushed back to 6/5 -- no big deal. On 6/3, it was pushed back to 6/8; on 6/10, it was pushed back to 6/13; on 6/17, it was pushed back to 6/21; and on 6/24, it was pushed back to 6/29. I understand one delay, but this was continuous. They said this rarely happens, but from reading the other reviews on here, it happens a lot!!! They also promise to check on your order and get back to you and never do. On the night of 6/29, I called and was told our set had finally arrived -- they never called me as promised. However, we now have to wait until 7/7 for delivery because their trucks are full, even though they deliver to the Sheboygan area on Tuesday's and Friday's. So in total, our set will be 5-1/2 weeks late -- and that's if they actually deliver it. Steinhafel's, if your trucks are full, maybe you need to add another in an effort to make up to your customers rather than upset them further. I will never buy anything from this store again!!!

Over $7000 spent on Aspen Homes collection and Steinhafel's can't get it right

I purchased a $7000 set (Aspen Homes Collection) that included Queen sleigh bed, gentlemen's chest, woman's dresser with jewelry chest, and two night stands. Also Queen matress and boxspring. Steinhafel's was to deliver in February, they arrived and refused to deliver because of the "snow". First, there was barely any snow. Second, the driveway was plowed. Third, it's WISCONSIN! They refused to even come down the road. We didn't get a call from ANYONE at Steinhafel's to reschedule. No apologies. We had to call and reset an appt (hopefully NO snow on the ground whatsoever). We finally were able to get an appt for April 3rd. TWO months after the initial delivery, meanwhile my bedroom is all tore apart in anticipation of the Feb delivery. They make it on April 3rd, and they send two YOUNG scrawny boys to move HEAVY furniture. They were able to get most in but by this time were struggling and when they went to move the woman's dresser in they dropped it and busted the whole side. So we had to call customer service (whom are NOT helpful; barely speak english, and are RUDE!) and they said they would get back to me on a delivery date. After a week, I get a call that they are to deliver on the 19th of April, then a week later I get an email saying it would deliver on the 25th, and THEN a few days later get a card in the mail stating it would delivery on May 3rd. So I had to call them and verify EXACTLY what day. They told it was the 19th. They were to deliver between 315-515pm and then didn't get here until 10 to 6pm just as we were sitting down to dinner as we didn't think they were coming. They open the truck and the whole dresser is smashed up on the opposite side! So now we have to wait YET again for a new dresser. Meanwhile, my clothes are laying on a bed in a spare room as they have been for the past 3mos. This is the WORST customer service I've had and if I had known I'd be spending $7000 to be dealing with this and the condensending, rude, and foul customer service I would never even have bothered. And if it weren't for the fact that I have all pieces EXCEPT the Queen dresser I'd tell them to take it all back and shove it! I don't know how a business like this can still run. I will NEVER EVER buy furniture from that store NOR would I reccommend ANYONE buy anything from this store!

Was the customer service rude, or not able to meet your demands? There's a difference.

Not being able to comply with a demand is not being rude. If the road was hazardous the drivers won't deliver.

I'm sure you wouldn't want to risk your well being do deliver heavy furniture through an unplowed pathway either. Based on that, I would think the customer service was not rude, but were being attacked and trying to help someone who is impossible to reason with.

We purchased $3500 in living room furniture 2/22/15. We were told delivery should be 4/21/15. To date have received 9 new delivery updates the latest 6/1/15. Was told by customer service he had never seen anything like this and it was highly unusual. Then told by a manager that because of the dock strike which ended in February this is common and basically told "too bad". Asked for free delivery ($95.00) was told would receive no compensation. Manager was very rude, condescending and uncaring. Would never buy another item from them even if we could get it off the floor!!!!

Pretty sure the dock issues are still being felt. There was a back log of product.

I'm still waiting for an order I placed before you at another place, and am hearing the same information.

Maybe you should pick something that is in stock, and not take it out on people who have no control over the situation. I've been very nice to the people and never question the changing dates, because I know they can't do anything about it.

Also I'd be willing to bet the manager was not any of the names you called this person. They probably couldn't do anything, but you continued to push them to make the impossible happen.

I was a retail manager for years, and know people who act like this are the real problem, not the people who are trying to help impossible people like this poster. If the manager could make your furniture appear out of thin air, I bet they would have done that.

I agree with this precious person, get something that is in stock. They will just assign your furniture to the next person that is waiting, who is probably a more rational person.
